Policies
These policies outline how engagements operate at a high level. Specific terms, scope, and responsibilities are defined in the applicable signed service agreement.
Engagements & Scope
Engagements begin only after a signed service agreement is in place. Scope is limited to what is stated in the agreement. Items outside scope may require additional consultation and may be subject to additional fees.
Deposits & Scheduling
Deposits may be required to secure scheduling and begin onboarding. Deposits are applied to the engagement where applicable and terms are set out in the signed service agreement.
Billing & Payment
- • Payment is due as outlined in the signed agreement or invoice.
- • Subscriptions (where applicable) are billed on the signup date and recur monthly unless cancelled in accordance with the agreement.
- • If payment fails or becomes overdue, work may be paused until the account is brought current.
Cancellation & Termination
Clients may request cancellation in writing. Cancellation is typically effective at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise agreed. Ascend Nexus reserves the right to terminate an engagement at any time, for any reason, subject to the terms of the service agreement. Where services are terminated, any third-party subscriptions maintained by or through Ascend Nexus may be cancelled.
Client Responsibilities
- • Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete information.
- • Clients remain responsible for filings and submissions made in their name.
- • Delays or missing information may impact timelines and outcomes.
Professional Limitations & Independent Advice
Ascend Nexus and its representatives provide administrative and consulting support. This is not a substitute for advice from a licensed lawyer, CPA, or other regulated professional. Clients are encouraged to seek independent professional advice where appropriate.
Privacy & Data Handling
Client information may include personal and financial data required for administrative services, tax-related workflows, and onboarding. Information is used only for engagement purposes and handled in accordance with the signed agreement and applicable requirements.
